Dialogue between the rigid grid system and soft curvatures.
Office Entrance
Design Elements

The workspace design of the Urban Justice Center (UJC) encapsulates the spirit of Sunset Park, Brooklyn as well as highlighting the important practices of the organization. As the UJC handles sensitive cases with urgency, the design proposal seeks to create intimate boundaries through apertures at differing scales.

The design acts as a place of connectivity with its undulating structure and overlapping density that provides a variety of spaces for privacy gradient as well as open and shared spaces for the professionals who work in the office. The gridded system offers a dialogue between the existing grid of the building and in response to that are these textured curvatures that interrupts the existing rigid language through its softness and translucency.

The spatial strategy allows users to experience layers of boundaries according to the movement of curvatures and the enclosure it creates through changing densities.
